Veronica in Echo
How many ways to say it? "语言上的巨人,行动上的矮子。”When I was at Senior high, it was repeated again and again by one of my headteachers. It means those who talk big all day but stand idle all day. Or those whose actions are not consistent with their words. I believe it is a saying in Chinese, and does the same one exist in English? Thanks.

"All talk and no action" is probably the commonest way to say it. The other common saying is "Empty vessels make the most sound."
