"I like to go to the cinema" - is it correct?
Or I should say I like to go to movies?

"I like to go to the cinema" is absolutely perfect. It's much more common in British English.
"I like to go to THE movies" is also fine. It's much more common in American English
Take care :)!
NB:
You could also say:
"I like to go to movies" ... But it's a bit more informal.

Yep, I agree with PE. In America, we say "going to the movies". But "going to the cinema" is perfectly alright and everybody will be able to understand you without a problem. :)
