Fast-paced means quick or moving at great speed. However, it is not usually used for physical movement, but for some event, meeting or literature. We can say that the meeting was fast-paced if it covered all its planned topics in a short time and ended early. We also talk about a book being fast-paced if there is a lot happening in a short number of pages.
