can I use "simpre tu" for "it was always u"
this is for a song I'm writing to my wife.

I think the best translation for "it was always you" is "siempre fuiste tú"
if you say "siempre tú" it just means "always you" :)

not, the correct sentence is:
"siempre fuiste tú" or used " por siempre tú"
---> look the "e" in the word "siempre"
