破: 花費 TO SPEND、消耗 TO WASTE。如:「破財」、「破費」。 “破費” is an expression used by a speaker to show modesty and consideration. (It's called 謙讓語 or 謙詞) I am glad to accept your gift; however, I also feel guilty because it cost you too much.
