Translation
I see that the translation of the English sentence:
''Could I have some fillets of cod, please?''
in Danish is: ''Jeg vil gerne have nogle torskefileter''.
Isn't there another way saying it that would resemble more the English way?

"Kunne jeg få nogle torskefileter, (tak)?" Would also be acceptable and that sounds fairly close to the english equivalent.
or
"Må jeg bede om nogle torskefileter"
