Did you mean: You kept s.o. long and he/she will not arrive for swimming in time?
Than you can say:
Entschuldige, das ich dich so lange aufgehalten habe, hoffentlich kommst du noch rechtzeitig zum Schwimmen.
oder allgemein:
Sorry für die Verzögerung, hoffentlich schaffst du es noch rechtzeitig.
