What is the difference between:Adios y hasta luego?

in fact in chinese we only say “再见”(can't make sure when will meet next time)。
maybe “明儿见”“下周见”“下午见”“待会儿见”…… sometime, but they point out the time of next meeting .
so maybe the difference is
"adios" means “再见”, and "hasta luego" means “待会儿见”

Both mean "zaijian" ,but "hasta luego" means literally "see you soon" ,while adios , is more like goodbye!
