If 法 means "law" and 法国 means France. Is France in Chinese "country of law"??Thanks!:)

Easy to talk "law' in Chinese means "法律",France is short for “法兰西共和国”,like America,we can not say "country of beautiful "

I don't think France in Chinese means "country of law"
" France " we translated it into Chinese (according to the pronunciation) "法兰西" ,and its full name is "法兰西共和国" ,so in China,we use "法国" for short .
