what's the difference between business failure, bankruptcy/insolvency?

Failure of a busines simply means the business did not succeed. It doesn't imply either insolvency or bankruptcy. Bankruptcy relates to a person who declares bankruptcy or is declared bankrupt in the case of their insolvency. Insolvency means the person or entity is unable to pay their debts, in which case the creditors may enforce bankruptcy. It is complicated by Limited Liability. 老鬼
