A "visual" is a mental image or concept, but that phrase ("thanks for that visual") is usually used in a negative way, like someone has told you something a bit gross or disturbing. For example, and I'll try to keep this clean, if someone starts talking about how much they "like" another person, in a way that is a bit too graphic or detailed, another person might say "thanks for that visual".
