Is 10 square meters the same as 10 meters square?

No. We would normally say 10 metres squared which is 10m x 10m, which is 100 square metres.
Saying 10 metres square is likely to be ambiguous.
(10 square metres could be 10m x 1m or 2m x 5m, etc)
