What English word retains the same pronunciation, even after you take away four of its five letters?

I believe it's Queue ot Aitch, in both cases you pronounce only one letter or sound.

There are only two one letter words in English: I and a. Unless you include O, which I think is an interjection, but I would usually say Oh.
