Liking something is to find an object or person to be enjoyable. Ex) I like puppies. OR I like my best friend. Loving something is to have a strong like or intense affection for someone or something. Ex) I love my mother. OR I love spaghetti.

Love is a big feeling. Such as a husband LOVES his wife and LIKES his dog. Like is a smaller feeling!

Loving someone means that he or she means everything to you, while liking someone means that you are simply happy being with that person. She likes him = she wants to be just friends. - She loves him = she has affection for him. there are nearly the same . but love is stronger . Example : i like soccer but i love tennis .

What is the different between the word "love" and the word "like?" or What is the difference between "love" and "like?" When we can use "love" and when we can use "like?" Thanks. The above answers are all correct. Too often we use the two words interchangeably but "love" is definitely a stronger feeling or affection than "like."
