What does the phrase"nuts and bolts guy "mean?
I saw a movie recently,a lot of slangs bothered me.
Here is the sentence , He's the nuts and bolts guy of the company.
What does "nuts and bolts guy "mean?
Does it means he is the very improtant people in the company?
or with the same meaning of "nuts and bolts"? the essential or practical details .
or something esle.

I agree with Hasan - the nuts and bolts guy handles things on a practical level.
By the way, "slang" is an uncountable noun, and never made plural: "and a lot of slang bothered me."

I guess it means a guy who knows A-Z of how things are done PRACTICALLY (not theoratically) in that particular company.
