I'll appreciate your telling the usage of "hardly/scarcely/barely/rarely...when" and "no sooner...than".
especially the difference between these words:
hardly ... when
scarcely ... when
rarely ... when
barely ... when
no sooner ... than

I could hardly keep my eyes open to watch the movie because it was so late.
I scarcely see my friend anymore since she moved across town.
I barely have enough time to answer this question.
I rarely say no to friends who need language help.
