Can 'Weleens' and 'Soms' both be used to mean sometimes ? How are they different ? Bedankt.

Soms = sometimes
Weleens is more or less once. Things you usually don't do often.
Examples:
- Als het mooi weer is, ga ik soms naar het strand. --> meer dan 1 keer.
- Hij is weleens ontvoerd geweest --> eenmalig of niet zo vaak.
In 1 zin:
- Soms als ik naar Parijs ga, bezoek ik weleens het Louvre museum. --> Dus niet bij elk bezoek.

they mean the same but Weleens can also mean some time in the future
soms can not be used like that
