How do you say/write 'cents' in French?
For example, if something only costs 0.50 euros then would you say 'ça coûte cinquante cents' and write it as 'ça coûte 0.50 euros'?

You can write it as " cents or centimes or in euros"
But you say centimes

il faut dire 50 centimes. 0,50 euros, ça fait vraiment bizarre à l'oral.

Au Québec on écrit "cent" mais on prononce "cennnnnne" et parfois on dit aussi "sous" (prononcé "sou"). Le symbole est "c" barré ¢.
