Does "we are eating partners"means"we are Diet buddy"?

It would depend on the context. However, I have never heard anyone say "we are eating partners", and it would sound very strange if they did.

You can describe people as your 'dining partners' [ when you go out to a restaurant together] or a 'diet partner' [ both of you are on a diet]
