I agree with SteveMP. Don't worry about having an accent. Some accents are quite beautiful. We will all have an accent when we speak another language...as long as we can make ourselves understood. Even English-speaking people who come from different countries have different accents. I'm Australian, so I would sound very different to an Anerican or a Brit or New Zealander.

I usually speak with a man who is Danish, and he speaks English perfectly well in spite of he has a very strong accent...which sounds the same to strong Russian accent! XD that man works in international traiding company and does not have any problems with being understood by other people =)

actually you can never get rid of your accent completely) it's very normal to have an accent, because you're not a native speaker) with practice you can hide most of it, but you can never eliminate it completely. but however it's not a problem; i find the russian accent in english very nice and a bit funny))

Don't worry about your accent. You will have one! But, as long as you are able to make yourself understood and understand what is said back then that is what matters. Here in the US, most people have an accent. I can understand some Europeans better than I can understand New Yorkers or people from Chicago, minnesota, etc.
