Help with 어
So, this is the hardest letter for me in Hangul Korean. By itself, it sounds like 아
but 여, sounds like 요
So my question is, should I simply pronounce 어 as 아 and 여 as 요 ?

No, they sound different. You just have to learn the difference. However, 요 sometimes sounds like 여 if they speak fast and/or casually.

One is made deeper in the throat and one is made with a wider mouth. You say the same sound but it sounds different based on where it comes from and the position of your mouth.
