Can you explain how to use of 本当? Hello can somebody explain to me which of the following sentences are correct? And if more than one are, what are the differences between them? I learned to use 本当 to express truth or intensity, so for example: 1. この映画は 本当に 面白いです。 This movie is truly/very interesting. 2. 其の事は 本当です。 That is a true fact. However, I have noticed in some in dramas, for example, the same translation applies for all the following: 1.この カメラは 本当 面白いです。 2.この カメラは 本当に 面白いです。 3.この カメラは 本当の 面白いです。 (i am sorry, i am not really sure about number 3.) Meaning: This camera is truly/very interesting. So are all these correct, and can all be applied in the same context? じぜんに ありがとう!(",) P.S.: I am sorry for using so much english, I am not skilled enough to use only japanese yet.

hi, suzika(^_^ at first, i think i should say sorry, that i haven't sent you a reply (-_-; i'll write you back for your message soon! and let me tell the usage of 'ほんとう', and please tell me if the answer i make isn't enough for you we won't write 'この___は本当面白いです' without 'に'. we can say so when we speak, but we won't write like that. 'この___は本当に面白いです' is collect. and, when we use '本当の', the following word must be noun. for example, '本当の事を知りたい(ほんとうのことをしりたい)' i want to know the true thing (truth). and, in addition, we rarely call ’カメラ’ as ’面白い’. if you find some cameras that can say jokes, or if you find cameras like jack-in-the-box, we could say 'このカメラは面白いです。', but if you are interested in the shape, or function of some ordinal (i mean, not funny) cameras, we can say 'このカメラに興味がある(このカメラにきょうみがある)'.
