How would you explain “lazy-lidded” in the sentence?
“ ‘WITH ALL THE GALLONS OF NEWSPRINT and hours of televised talk that have been poured forth on the subject of Lula Landry’s death, rarely has the question been asked: why do we care?
“ ‘She was beautiful, of course, and beautiful girls have been helping to shift newspapers ever since Dana Gibson cross-hatched lazy-lidded sirens for the New Yorker.
How would you explain “lazy-lidded” in the second sentence?
Thanks!

In modern talk a siren is a woman who men (or other women I suppose) find very attractive, dangerously so.
Some artists show attractive women with their eyes partly closed as this is thought of as adding to their allure (attractiveness).
So lazy lidded means their eyelids are not fully open.
