this is not my scene. what does it mean in this context.
A: how about hotel XXX
B: that's not my scene.
Is it specific referred to as your favorite HOTEL rather than any other stuff?Like that's my jam means my favorite song, or that's not my cup of tea can be used to refer to the person who doesnt fit you? Does this "scene" has the same kind of meaning?

"Hotel X is not my scene" means "I don't like the ambiance/environment at hotel X." Generally, the expression is only used to describe a physical place, a situation, a scenario, or some kind of environment. You wouldn't say "peanut butter and jam sandwiches are not my scene." But you can definitely say "crowded and smokey bars are not my scene."
