What does " the clip with ligamine darts" mean?
Certainly Guitierrez had not. Earlier that morning, he had taken the air pistol, loaded the clip with ligamine darts

Jurassic Park? As far as I can tell, ligamine is a type of herbal medicine used to treat bones and joints. I think the author uses it as a kind of poison in the book. (http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Is_ligamine_real). However, it's a medical word that is not commonly used (which is why I had to look it up). A "clip" is what you would use to load ammunition into a gun (http://1-media-cdn.foolz.us/ffuuka/board/tg/image/1351/63/1351631226789.jpg).
So basically he is loading the air pistol with several poison-filled darts.

Trqnquilizer not poison. In the context of the book he thought the lizard to be a new species I'm sure he wanted it alive. (I'm aware this is an old post, just updating for future readers.)
