It is often found in final double consonants in Korean. e.g. 없다 => 어 + ㅂ(the first consonant) + ㅅ(the second one, silent) + ㄷ + ㅏ 핥다(to lick) => ㅎ + ㅏ + ㄹ(the first consonant) + ㅌ(the second, silent) + ㄷ + ㅏ \^o^/
