What does "ACCOUNTANT" mean?
I use Kenkyusha’s Shoter English-Japanese dictionary. According to this dictionary, "ACCOUNTANT" means accounting, paymaster and certified public accountant. I used "ACCOUNTANT" as accounting. Some friends on italki thought "ACCOUNTANT" as certified public account. I think that only "ACCOUNTANT" would be near to accounting rather than certified public accountant. Because I think that only "ACCOUNTANT" wouldn’t mean a license usually. Certified accountant or licensed accountant means a license. And I think that "ACCOUNTANT" is used as certified public accountant, if there is certified public accountant before sentence.
Please answer my question.
