「破る」と「破く」はどう違うの?

「破く」は紙や布など薄いものを破るときに使います。
「破く」は「破る」でまず代用できますが、「破る」の代わりに「破く」が使えるとは限りません。
「破る」のほうが「破く」より使える場面は多そうです。
