Come si dice in spagnolo e in inglese "prendere le redini della propria vita"?
è un modo di dire in italiano, molto usato per indicare un momento in cui si vuole cambiare alcune cose della propria vita, perciò si trova il coraggio e ci si dà da fare per cambiarle.

redini = reins, used for guiding a horse. So ypu could literally say "taking the reins of your own life" and people would understand. Probably a better expression is "taking life by the horns".

Non so l'esatto senso della sua frase, quindi penso che potrebbe avere un di due traduzioni in inglese:
1. take charge/control of one's life.
2. take responsibility for one's own life.
