Hola ! Habitualmente se dice "heladera", pero cuando tiene compartimientos separados, nos referimos a ellos individualmente: heladera ( para el frío normal ) y freezer ( para el compartimiento de frío seco ). Saludos Sofía

Sí,en Uruguay y Argentina decimos "la heladera".

I respectfully disagree! For example, the word REFRIDGERATOR >>> Some people may use the word "refrigerador" and others may use "heladera". I need to know the way a porteño says these words. Thanks for your reply, Dana

These words are the same in any Spanish-speaking country. Or at least in Latin American.
