Libertines - "Mayday"
---------------------------------
A slave's a girl who slaves her days away, (what does it mean?)
In arabesques & minarettes, (what does minarettes mean?)
Tablecloths and serviettes.
She's screaming 'this is what you get'
First you put the tongue in,
Then you put the boot in, (what does it mean? that you will no rights afterwards?)
Yeah yeah, oh yeah

"slave your days away" - spend your days in drudgery and mindless housework
"a minaret" - the tall spire on a mosque
"put the boot in" - to strongly insult/abuse a person
What it means is up to you. A song means anything it means to you.
