well.. the meaning of '~더라구요' depends on what words are located in the head of sentence. there're a lot of meanings so if I write cases down here, you might be confused, I guess. BUT I can say that the most of sentences having '~더라구요.' usually have meaning 'it was that ~~' like when you are talking about something past, you start to say '~~ was that ~~~' for example, '그 사람이 아니더라구요.' --->> 'He was not (that ~~~)' '~~~는 사실이 아니더라구요.' -->> 'It was not truth that ~~~'
