how to say in arabic " awkward silence"
"awkward silence" - this is when two or more people are in a social situation and the everyone becomes quiet and nobody says anything, it could be due to embarassment, shyness or sometimes bad tension between the people.
imagine somebody reminding somebody about a painful memory to someone in front of a group of people who also knew of that situation. every becomes quiet and wish they guy would shut the hell up !!! = Awkward silence
OR the first time you go to meet your soon to be wife at her parents house and the first conversation you have with her ,, there will probably be long periods of silence because she is shy and you dont know what to say == AKWARD SILENCE
hope i explained it well
