Ang bilanggo ay tatakas. = The prisoner is going to escape.
Ang bilanggo ay tumatakas. = The prisoner is escaping (at the moment).
Ang bilanggo ay hindi makatakas. = The prisoner can’t escape.
Hindi nakita ng bantay ang pagtakas ng bilanggo. = The guard did not see the prisoner’s escape.
