home and dry
Can you, please, give me some examples of usage of 'home and dry' in everyday life?
Thanks in advance for correcting my mistakes :)

Haven't heard of that before to be honest, however I did a search and this is what came up:
http://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/british/be-home-and-dry
http://idioms.thefreedictionary.com/be+home+and+dry
it seems to be a british saying/idiom which is used to imply that you've completed something successfully.
examples of its usage could be:
after this exam, I'll be home and dry
we just need to complete this project and we'll be home and dry

Not much. :) Google says this saying is common mainly in the land down under, isn't it?

We also say "home and hosed"! Sorry to add to the confusion.
