Welcome to freedom is very strange lol
It is most likely to come up only if you are actually talking to someone who has just been freed from prison or capture
or
someone being patriotic and sort of in your face about how America has freedom
Thus it sounds very weird
mostly because freedom isn't a place but a state of being
It would be like saying "Welcome to Cold"
You could say "Welcome to the Cold" or "Welcome to the Cold Lands" but thats a little strange too.

Hi Dmitry,
Yo can say:
Welcome (to Austria / to my house / to the club / aboard / home / etc.) so why shouldn't 'Welcome to freedom !' be possible ? In my opinion, it is correct.
Kind regards,
Georg
