Do you say taxi or cab in the UK?
e.g. 'I took a taxi/cab to the railway station'Or the taxi/cab in this case.

In most parts of UK, I think we use "taxi". Certainly in Ireland.
But sometimes you will hear "cab" especially relating to London's iconic "black cabs".
