How say 'hold'?
I want to say 'hold your breath'. Is hold in this case 'negah bedar' or is that a different kind of hold as in holding a book? Would the sentence 'hold your breath' be 'nafasat negah bedar'?
Thanks

" nafaset ro negah dar " and " nafaseto negah dar" are correct. Some people also say " nafaset ro habs kon " . this is correct too.

in imperative form , you must remove ب . nafaset negah bedar is understandable but not correct. you have forgotten to add را , which make your sentence very formal , and it's only used in books. bedar , is also literary . but if you wanna speak like a normal farsi speaker , you must say , nafaseto negah dar .
