Se hai una domanda negativa, si usa "doch" invece di "ja":
- Kommst du nicht zur Party?
- Nein, ich komme nicht. / Doch, ich komme.
Oppure per "contraddire" altre frasi negative:
- Rom ist nicht die Hauptstadt von Italien.
- Doch, Rom ist die Hauptstadt von Italien.
