hey,what does the phrase 'snatch a delusion' mean? the whole sentence goes like this: There is danger for him who taketh the tiger cub,and danger also for whoso snatches a delusion from a woman. the first part is of no difficulty but i can't understand the latter part,and thanks in advance.

I don't agree with the latter part either. Sir Arthur Conan Doyale was a man from the Vicotria era it was a very sexually repressed time so men back then had a very bad idea of what a woman is so I think he's wrong about this.

It's very risky to take (snatch) a tiger cub, as the mother might just maul you to death for it. It's equally risky to take (snatch) a delusion from a woman. I don't really agree with the quote, but well, that's just the character in the story.
