I had no other possibility/ option than wait

'Chance' is definitely wrong. It doesn't mean 'option' - it means 'opportunity'. 'Possibility' also means 'opportunity'.
For the sentence you give, 'option' is the best word. Your sentence should read:
'I had no other option than to wait'
NB note that you need to say 'to wait'.
