How to say "under my friend's suggestion" in French?
I wanna say that I've read a book and it one of my friend's favorites, so i read it under my friend's suggestion.
How to put it into French?
Does it make sense if I put "j'ai lu un livre grâce à une proposition de mon amie"?

seriously, i d never seen "under someone's suggestion". maybe "with someone's suggestion" is better?

You could also say:
J'ai lu un livre qu'une amie m'avait suggere/recommande.
J'ai lu un livre sur recommendation d'une amie.
