difference between 간다는 and 가는 Dear Korean speaking someone, :-) Could explain a difference between 간다는 and 가는? Or another example from an article: 다른 사람의 하루를 기분 좋게 만들어준다는 것은 생각보자 어려운 일이 아니다. Brightening up another person’s day isn’t that difficult. So, the word 만들어준다는 .... could it also be 만들어주는? Maybe there is hardly any difference and I could easily use both? But then, what is the subtle purpose? Thank you a lot in advance! Anne

Example ① "다른 사람의 하루를 기분 좋게 만들어준다"는 것은 생각보다 어려운 일이 아니다. ② 다른 사람의 하루를 기분 좋게 만들어주는 것은 생각보다 어려운 일이 아니다. The two sentences that I've wrote as above, is the exactly the same meaning. Only the difference is, whether you make the sentence with a quoted passages or not. Usually, Korean uses the expression('~한다는, ~만들어 준다는, ~간다는, etc') when they put the quotation in the sentences.
