Faillir How do we use the verb "faillir"? Is it always in the past form? Also, what's the difference between using "faillir" and "presque"? Thank you

"Faillir" can be used in present tense as well, for example "Vous faillez à vos engagements". In past form, "faillir" can mean "almost" or "presque" as you said, but it can still keep its original meaning which is equivalent to "failing". It depends on the context.
