Please help me, Japanese native speakers!
心配した担任から何度も連絡があり、本人とも話しましたが「ライブに行く。勉強だけが人生のすべてじゃない」と言い張りました。
Dear Japanese native speakers, could you please explain me the meaning of this sentense, in simple japanese or english? (2nd part of the sentence, beggining with "勉強だけ...".

*all of your --> all of my life (if the one said so was "the student")

Hi, I'm not very good at English so I'll translate only the second part, however, I'm not sure I can do it ery well. 「勉強だけが人生のすべてじゃない」と言い張りました。--> She / He insisted: "Studying is not all of your life (but a part of it)." I hope other people help you!
