how to add "également" and "désormais" correcty when we frame a sentence??

"Je suis allée faire du sport. J'ai également été manger au restaurant. " You use "également" after a verb or between the auxiliary and the verb. But never as the first word over wise the sentence doesn't mean anything.
"Il m'a menti, désormais je ne lui ferai plus confiance." It's like "from now on" in english. It's the consequences of the first event so you use "désormais" in the second sentence.
