"The flat of a sword" When you say this kind of thing, do you mean "the flat part of a sword" or "the flat edge of a sword"?

Iello! As the flat part of a table is nothing but an even surface. In the same way, "The flat of a sword" means the even surface (flat part) of a sword. Did it help you ?
