"anthropos" - Greek root for "human", as in "anthropology" (the study of the human race)
"genos" - Greek for "race", "kind" or "offspring"
So... "anthropogenic" means "created by humans" or "human induced"
The idea is that humans burn fossil fuels that generate carbon dioxide which causes global warming
