”人生は思い通りにしかならない”の意味はなんですか。

It is often heard that "人生は思い通りにならない(Life is uncontrollable.)” but this sounds negative.
In opposite, "人生は思い通りにしかならない(Life goes on exactly as you expect. or Life is totally controllable. or Your life is up to you.)” encourages people to be more responsible for there own life and not to give up dreams, etc.
Actually, I like this phrase. Where did you find that? どこでこのフレーズを見つけたのですか?
