how to say "Cup mat" or "Paper cup mat" in Portuguese?

I'm not sure where all the Brazilians are today - there are usually plenty around. If this helps, I remember learning the word 'cunha' for a little mat that you'd put under a drink. I also remember being told that the same word meant 'influence' ie if someone you knew helped you to get a job or similar.
